Quick question for the gearheads.

I've been looking into buying a late-model Mazda RX-7 FD Twin Turbo...with the sequencial turbochargers.
However, I've just seen that Mazda is planning to re-release the RX-7 in 2006 with the RENESIS engine. My question to you is:

Can the sequencial turbocharging system from the B13 Rotary be used on the RENESIS? I mean, the thing is going to put out 350+ horses, but that's not enough!

Are you interested in whether the twin turbo from a B13 engine will fit the new Rotary engine or can you turbocharge the new engine?

Underneath the 2006 Mazda MPV.

I would like to know if the same sequential turbocharging system which allowed for added torque in both high and low ends could be modified for the RENESIS engine.

I wonder why the RX8 only has 238 hp out of 1.3L dual rotor. Didn't the car that won LeMans have 700hp out of 2.6L quad rotor and was NA? Seems to me like the RX-8 should have 350hp or so.

To keep it economical?

Reliability?

In theory yes but not knowing the engine compartment layout I couldn't be sure the system could be adapted. Knowing Mazda's support towards the aftermarket racing groups if they want it Mazda will make it happen.

350hp is not enough?? That car is light as hell. And if you are wanting that much power you better do a transmission upgrade and suspension upgrade.
