I didn't pack any sort of rain gear down here, and I have to go to class in about 50 minutes. Is it worth going in soaking wet? There's an unwritten rule (among students) that you don't need to go to class if it rains, but I don't think there was a time last year that it rained when I went to class..so this would be the first. Hmm..

Edit: So the rain was calming down a bit so I eventually decided to go..put my hat on and was walking down the hallway to the elevator when I saw a door open..belonged to a guy who I kind of know.. went in and asked when he had class..to which he responded at 12 (it was 10:45 at the time). Asked him if he wanted to do the honors of driving me to class, to which he agreed. Whoopee :)

Usually my roommate or one of my friends in the building is able to take us to class on such situations, but I had called them and they were all gone already.

Yeah we're a spoiled lazy bunch here.

I'm actually travelling from Landfair/Gayley (top of the hill) to the MS building. I'm going to see if anyone in the building can hitch me a ride..

Where do you live?

Just go - landfair to MS is not that far.
Plus half the walk is in that covered underpass anyway.

well in that case, stay home or else a bunch of small spiders may converge together and form one big, huge, gigantic spider and jump on your back and attack you when your walking underneath!

are there no umbrellas in LA?
I've lived in Florida and Okinawa for most of my life. I didn't realize that California is a fricken desert until I moved out here.

By the way these a$$holes drive, you can tell they only see this little bit of drizzle about two weeks out of the year.

I always walked to class when it was raining, but I packed my handy umbrella. Walk was from Covel Commons to North campus.

Your pink umbrella gathered a lot of attention.

I didn't go to class this morning. YAY FOR ME

Combined with the rain knocking out power and rendering my alarm clock useless and general demotivation from the rain itself I ended up not going to class.

bah you wouldn't skip a class if it was important. Therefore by skipping the class you prove it's unimportance so go for it.
