I have a bet on this and I'm sure I'm right. I'd like your responses and also somewhere it "officially" states this...

Example:
I Have K-3
You have K-8

Community is: 5-5-K-A-2

It is my agrument that this is a split pot, we both have the same pairs and the A is our kicker. (suits don't matter in this example).

Am I right or is there such a thing as a 6th card kicker, making the K-8 win?

Thoughts? Links? discuss

you both have: pair of kings, pair of fives, Ace kicker = split pot = your friend is a moron. 😀

easy. Ask your friend what 5 cards he wants to use

Then pick the 5 cards you want to use.

WOAH SAME HAND!! Its a tie.

The other cards do not exist as far as the hand is concerned.

unless the pot cant be split evenly the person with the highest suit wins wats left over
