Usually Chihuahua's (and most other dogs) bark a lot because they're not well socialized. All our animals are well socialized with other animals (cats and dogs) and people from a very early age.

I wish I had a video camera, its hilarious watching him pester the cat. The puppy bites the end of her tail and pulls on it with all his might.

The cat is kind of indifferent to his taunting at first, but eventually starts to play back.
 
Cute. I also doubt you'll have barking issues. Most friendly little dogs tend not to bark all the time. The ones that don't get near you do.

give the cat some chemicals from the closet, and then repost with a video clip when it's around the dog. ill-insane to ever say this, but you gotta do this.

edit: about the guy who said if the cat were to eat 'em, I don't see why the cat wouldn't recognize the dog as a huge rat rodent?
