The sprinklers aren't my issue. It isn't my house.

You LIVE there. Get something done about it. Legally you can park in front of your neighbors house, but you are a Grade A Douchebag if you do so instead fixing YOUR sprinkler problem, you over-entitled little twerp.

Grow the fuck up, you arrogant, immature pest. You don't have the first clue about living as a responsible adult in a community of adults. You suck.

Yes...because calling people a twerp, Grade A Douchebag, an arrogant immature pest, and telling them to grow the fuck up while saying they suck is clearly a mark of being a responsible adult.

You richly deserve all those descriptions and more, punk.

Directly comparing jibes on an internet message board to REAL LIFE just shows how much you have to learn.

It could all be chalked up to you having been raised in a household so ignorant that you weren't taught even the most basic sense of decent manners, but when just about everyone in this thread pointed out how rude and ignorant you're being, you still just . . . don't . . . care.

You are a walking, breathing, posting annoyance, a sub-standard carbon-based unit that somehow eluded quality control.

I hope real life gives you the comeuppance you so richly deserve, and soon.

Again, thanks for your upstanding example of how mature adults should act. Speaking of real life, I know how macho people tend to act online, and then how much of a pussy they are in real life.

Anyways I have some issues to attend to. My interest in the thread has come to a close because I found the answers I needed (and a few extra rules I was not aware of! Good to always know).

If it's a public street, you can park anywhere you like as long as you're the right distance from mailboxes, fire hydrants, etc.

Common courtesy says to park YOUR car in front of YOUR house. But like common sense, common courtesy isn't so common any more.

LOL all the haters come out in full force. I like how you all assume I have no absolutely no common courtesy, I'm an asshole, etc etc. The internet brings out too many ASSumptions.

Just before I headed out, I went to check if they were indeed there. After about waiting a few minutes, the husband finally came out and I got to talking with him. Pretty nice guy. We talked for a while about many things. Issue is now resolved. I can park there :p

I also found out there was someone who tried to break into my car  Apparently they broke into another car the other day on the street. Thank god I leave nothing of importance in there!

Just park there if you want and shut up. Don't go explain anything to them. You sound like you want a confrontation with them. It's a public street and anyone can park there as long as they don't block a driveway or a fire hydrant, etc.

There isn't anything they can do about you parking there, and there is no point to you "explaining" anything to them. That confrontation will only cause more problems.

Having said all of that, it is rude of you to park there.

It's really rude to park in front of someone else's house like that. Sounds like you're trying to twist the law to suit your purposes at other peoples' expense - are you a lawyer or studying to become one?

So....you park your car outside on the street. Outside, where it presumably rains, correct?
And you're concerned about getting water on it?

What am I missing here?

But then I guess I'm not especially vain about my car. It's a transport thing for me, and it spends a lot of time outside. The outdoors isn't a pristine place. I'm not going to spend money or worries on keeping something clean that is going to get dirty very shortly after it's used the next time.
People invest too much of their egos in their vehicles.

If somebody kept parking in front of my house after asking them not to, they would get keyed and slashed tires.

Actually I figured that not saying anything might be a problem. That would tell me I'm not interested in talking about anything. Luckily he wasn't an asshole like many of you here.

Oh I think its funny how very few actually read through threads and just come to quick conclusions about what is going on. Although it is my fault that I didn't state earlier that the car really is in the 'middle' of both places as opposed to clear into 'their territory' (which it isn't their 'territory' as I've already established).

I could probably count on my hands the number of times it rains here a year. And simply because I don't want a new film of dirt on a side of my car each night doesn't imply that I'm vain at all about my car, or that i invest too much of my ego in it. Its amazing how many assumptions people make.

Yes...engage in illegal actions for doing something that is perfectly legal.

I don't think we assumed anything.

"I park in front of another house.
they need to STFU about it
That is fine if they think its rude.
this is more about their feeling of entitlement to public space in front of their house than it is my desire to have a pissing contest
The sprinklers aren't my issue. It isn't my house.
Clearly you do not think."
