YANST (Yet Another NAV Sucks Thread)

So I just got Norton Antivirus 2004 and I'm trying it out... installation and everything goes fine. I decide to defragment my hard disk because I havn't done that in a while, and it goes at about a quarter of the normal speed. It only got to 9% in 20 minutes. I just decided "hmm, oh well I'll play some games". NHL2004 took way longer to load than it should, and after I started the game, it was running at literally less than 1 frame per second. After I finally managed to get out, I quickly uninstalled NAV2004, and it's all fine now. I thought there was just something wrong with people when they were all complaining about this program but there is seriously something WRONG with it!

Or, alternatively, there is something wrong with your computer that causes these problems. I have NAV2004 (as part of the NIS2004 suite) and have zero trouble. None, whatsoever. I play games and they are smooth as butter. Everything I load, loads in a snap, some things are loaded before I even get to see the splash screen. Could it be NAV? Yes, it could. Could it also be some other software that doesn't play nice with NAV? Yes, it could. Sorry NAV didn't work for you. I've used the product for years (obviously the NAV line, not 2004...), and never once had a problem.
