I'm a little surprised that they took out Santana after 7 innings, since the game was so close. If the Twins lost because of their bullpen, then that would have totally wasted Santana's effort. A bit of a risk, since their closer's name isn't Rivera.

twins bullpen is much deeper/better than the yanks, was a good decision to get him out of there and give him some more rest for the next game he has to win against the yanks.

😕

Joe Nathan was one of the best closers in the league this year.

Yankees were outplayed tonight. They could not got a hit in a clutch spot, and when they almost did, the Twins defense robbed them. Oh well, the Yankees will trounce Radke.

Torre should've put Matsui in the 4 slot, Bernie stopped a lot of rallies & isn't hitting too well with RISP.

i was surprised they kept him in there that long. Sure he hadn't allowed a run, but allowing the leadoff man in 5 of 6 innings and getting in trouble so many times, it almost felt as though Santana was ready to give up a big inning.

And yes, the Twins have a good bullpen.

We're gonna win, Twins, we're gonna score;
We're gonna win, Twins - watch that baseball soar!

Crack out a home run, score a double play;
Cheer for the Minnesota Twins today!

Where the hell did all these Twins "fans" all of a sudden come from? Ok you can take off that cap and put back on the one with the girly little B on it (Boston).

Sorry but I've been a Twins fan since I was a little boy (born and raised in Mpls). Actually the Yankees are my second-favorite AL team.

they'll win in 4. could you really expect to beat santana?
Santana will pitch again in this series, if necessary. So, that means that just one other Twins pitcher will have to win a game, for them to take the series.

And Brad Radke is no slouch. His 11-8 record is nothing to be in awe of (with just over 4.5 runs/game, he had the ninth lowest support among AL starter), take note that his ERA is fourth best in the AL.

Also take note that he held them to 1 Run over 7 innings in August...

I was born a Twins fan, I'll die one. Boston can suck me. The Yankees can too.

I'm a Braves fan at heart (since 90 which was 4 years after I was born), so naturally in this series I'd be a Twins fan 🙂

Ironically the Yankees were very successful in the playoffs & won those 4 world series before they had the superstars & huge payroll.

Will they shut up already about whether or not it's impressive to hit a hr into the black seats? My opinion of these guys went down again, and I didn't know it could go any lower.

Looks like a lot happening this game . . .

As far as being a Twins fan goes ... at least you're not a Boston fan! 😀

EDIT: Yanks in 4.
