YANJCIT= Yet Another New Jersey Car Insurance Thread.

I was hoping to buy my own car with my own money this upcoming fall, but given the free quotes from Prudential on the three cars I picked it doesnt look good :).

2003 Honda Accord LX V6 $2140/6 months
2003 Acura RSX Type S $2823/6 months
2003 MazdaSpeed Protege $2571/6 months (Not sure if the Mazdaspeed showed up maybe thats a quote for just the Protege my pop got the quotes).

I honestly couldnt help but laugh, I knew they were be bad but not this bad :D.

Currently Im driving my mom's old Volvo to work, which I have no problems with :), but we currently only have two cars for three people. Right now Im thinking of possibly helping my parents buy another car so I can have the Volvo tank all to myself. Maybe I'll go used but since Im male and under 25 Im going to be screwed. Maybe I'll just save my money for a rainy day :).

Back to my initial question... what other companies sell auto insurance in NJ? I know Prudential does...
Based on their website All-State does. Geico, Progressive, and State-Farm do not.

I have insurance with first trenton.

Our family has 3 cars

00 Nissan Quest SE
99 Honda CR-V
02 Lexus IS300

total for 3 cars for the year is $5200.

Honda CR-V is highest out of all three cars and that's Liability coverage :Q
I think it has something to do with it being an mini SUV or something.

Encompass, formerly CNA, is an excellent company.
They've covered my ass a few times where they shouldn't have :p

My god insurance is expensive in New Jersey!
For what you'd be paying every 6 months, would pay mine for 3 to 4 years!
I suspect that on that RSX your car payments may be less than the insurance payments.

Why is car insurance so expensive in NJ?
