I'm looking to expand my music collection, but I don't really know how to go about finding out about other artists/bands I don't already listen to. So, I figure the easiest way to do this would be to post my collection, and await some recommendations from those with similar taste.

So, if you know of any bands that sound like any of the following, feel free to list them. It's appreciated.

Big fan of these, I just can't figure out why I don't have any of their work. I must have lost my Opeth and IE collection.

Thanks for the suggestions!

You can add Jane's Addiction to the list. "Nothing's Shocking" would be the right album to start with.

Hmm, that reads like an auto-playlist my Media Library would generate. Interesting...

Listen to "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse" and get back to me.

Been there, done that. I have buddies that cream their pants for DB and I hear about them nonstop. I just don't get it...
