this one is for anyone that moderates any msg board

so me and a friend moderate a board. most of them are supposed to be adults but they're all childish when one of their drunk posts gets deleted because it was full of innappropriate crap. anyway, one person complains, tells all his friends and mob mentality ensues and they all crazy hate us. it's weird how these people actually survive in the real world. how many people can pull of being an adult in real life and be a 5 year old on the internet? beats the crap out of me

He is telling the truth.. I was a moderator of a sports fan site and we stressed the fact that ZERO personal attacks will be allowed... not quite "tea-time" but close. Anyhow, that was a tough task... even the moderators bitched at each other and had trouble agreeing on what was acceptable and what wasn't .. Mods have a "Thankless Job"

you should see the forum now. it's filled with (locked) posts of "this board sucks" and "the mods are nazis," and they're mad because those were locked! tryin to say their freedom of speech is being taken away
