1981 Yamaha 650 Maxim (2 years and 30k miles later, sold it to a friend)
1973 Suzuki 350GT (3 cylinder 2 stroke street bike) (8k miles in a year or so, sold it to a friend)

One thing people forget about 250s is that you don't have to slow down, acceleration is meaningless that way

I got mine out for the first full ride of the season today. I love the lightness and control of smaller bikes like mine. This is actually the second 250 I've owned, I had a Rebel several years back. Some searching on sportbikes will show that the manuverability of the lighter bikes can more than make up for the lack of power in the twisties, which we all know is where the fun is.

I have two words for you...Lotus Elise. Probably the purest sports car you can buy...well, the Exige S is a step up but still in the family.

Nope, I have the crappiest motorcycle here. I bought an old Honda CB750 a couple months ago. It was cheap and heavy but it's in great shape and I enjoy riding it. I'm already thinking of what I'd like to get to replace it. Maybe a BMW or a Harley...not sure yet. No hurry.
