I bought an '03 GSXR 600, don't have any good pics yet.

Sportbikes are just stupid. No class, tend to attract retarded people wanting to kill themselves, and they are not even comfortable to ride on.

Yeah, and while we're at it lets get rid of all fast cars too! And all uncomfortable cars.. people have no business buying them.

Sportbikes for the most part are comfortable, I used to ride 600km a day on my '02 GSXR1000 and I felt great the entire time. They do tend to attract retarded people wanting to kill them, the people I am refering to are the retard drivers around them of course.

People have every right to buy them, but 99% of <25 year olds have no business owning a sportbike.

After working in the ER for long enough I have decided that riding a motorcycle is just about the dumbest thing one can do for ones health other than smoke cigarettes. I have no respect for people who ride motorcycles and have small children, very irresponsible. My grandfather was killed on a motorcycle.

Doesn't matter how good a rider you are the majority of drivers out there are bad driver and it's still very dangerous. They make great organ donators, which we need more of.

Just my two cents. I know most ppl would disagree.

actually you might be surprised that many riders will agree with you, I for one do. I figure that i'm going to die at 55 anyway from a heart attack, so i should live my life to the extreme now.

I have a 250 that I ride year round, but I'm currently tearing down the engine to fix the shifter. :disgust:

I have no picture hosting, but here's a link to a homepage.

I used to ride but not too fond about the idea of riding around Los Angeles anymore.

I thought the crotch rocket trend was going to blow up big time here in southern california. It certainly looked liked it was last year, everybody was buying ninjas, gixxers, and CBRs and riding them all over the place with just riding permits and posting them on myspace. I guess it died down, or maybe the squids are just waiting for summer.

been riding since 83

Current bike is a 05 BMW R1200RT. I have a 26 mile commute to work, no interstate riding involved. Will ride till it dips below freezing, won't risk ice. I hope to put about 12 to 15K on it this year.

Today was warm going in, lowest temperature my bike reported was 44! Didn't even need to turn on the heated jacket though I did have the heated grips and seat on :)

1996 R1100RT (sienna red - thing more orange than red) (2 years 36k miles, sold and bought R1200C)

I probably have the crappiest motorcycle here! It's a '92 Honda Nighthawk 250...yep, 250cc of raw, crotch-shaking power! I probably ride it 3 times a year - heh, but it's fun to take out on a beautiful Friday afternoon after work.

It's changed a little bit since these were taken. New windshield (the old shield left those ugly brackets when it was off), added a sissy bar and laid down the license plate so it's flush with the fender. Otherwise it's the same. I've got a box full of chrome goodies that I'll get around to putting on one of these days, and it will be getting a paint job and get rid of that big ugly chrome cluster on the back.

They're louder than stock, but quite a bit quieter than open pipes (I opted for the V&H "quiet baffles). They are loud enough to get me noticed by fellow drivers.

All my sport bikes had loud pipes too. You'd be surprised how much less you get cut off and such when drivers hear you, and thus look for you.

the Ninja 250s are a hoot.

One thing people forget about 250s is that you don't have to slow down, acceleration is meaningless that way :)
