Anyone know where I can get a 1983 Suzuki GS550ES engine/tranny at? Damn snapring came loose, sheared teeth off the tranny and locked up my rear wheel at 70.

I should prolly get a newer bike, but I like this little beater.

Why?? just fix it, you can have mechanical failure on a bike that 2 days old "moving parts" can fail.

If you can't control a rear wheel lockup, you should not be riding. Stuff like this DOES happen; chain, tranny, wheel bearings, anything. I used to go through lots of tires on my old bike, doing skids on wet pavement, so i know how to handle it. Even then, I admit, it scares the sh ĩt out of you.

I have the engine tore down, but I didn't seperate the cases, so you have to look through the bottom if it, and it will be hard to take a pic. All you'll see is gears anyway, plus two gear teeth and snap ring pieces that were in the oil pan.
