have you ever read the lyrics? They are so trite and pointless...completely artless , it should be criminal to label them as punk or anything resembling. On the other hand, if you want to meet lots of 15yr old girls at concerts, they might be right up your alley.

hmm I'll be nice and set you on the right track with some good cds.

WTF I didn't know Tim to Fly made it out to Ohio. :D Those guys are local, I used to go to their shows now and then. Good stuff, they have the kind of disregard for the audience that I have started to miss at concerts since grunge went out. :(

Every time there is a music thread, there is always "that guy" who has to post all their alternative nobodys-ever-heard-of-it-so-it-must-be-good type of crap, and express their distaste of MTV/Radio/General media, and naturally, use music as thier roadmap of their personality. Kinda lame.

That being said, Good Charlotte does suck, IMO.

I liked their first record OK. It was never my favorite. There were some good songs.

I don't like their newest record. Plus they are pretty-boys playing punk-rock dress-up.

Midtown is a million times better than GC.

Good Charlotte used to rock in my book. Before they got big.

Now they are too popish, and I really don't like the marketing.

Music is still good, though the first cd was better.

How big is big? I knew them when they were playing in Holiday Inn's and distributing their stickers in High School, because they were still in High School. I went to HS with them, and it still amazes me that so many people know of this band from La Plata, Maryland, Charles County (love them or hate them).

You have tough ears. It's painful, IMO.

I always thought that was funny too. Fans love a group until they sign a record deal, then all of a sudden they are "sellouts", and no longer "keeping it real" or some bullsh!t. Then they move on to the next "underground" group, because it's not cool to listen to music that any significant number of other people listen to.

they are alright. I used to like them back before anyone knew who they were.... had their first cd. they are so overplayed now though I just can't stand them anymore.
