The Wronskian of a homogeneous linear differential equation does not equal 0 if and only if the set of solutions to the differential equation are linearly independent.

Is this statement true.

If I remember correctly, the determinate of the Wronskian equals if the equations ARE independant.

But, to be sure, check in your damned book. :p

If the Wronskian is nonzero, then the solutions are linearly independent and form a fundamental set.
