YAMP3PT: Yet another MP3 Player thread...

I know neither Zune nor iPod plays all kinds of video & audio. I heard Creative Zen plays more extensions than both but are they any good? Or what do you all recommend? Any players that play .flac?

Not too much around when it comes to FLAC. Here is a list of all the players reviewed on CNET (i.e. everything) that play FLAC, not much choice.

Honestly, the quality of 320kbps MP3 is going to be way more than enough for most earbuds, which is what most people listen out of with portable players, unless you want to look like a nerd.

Can't help you beyond that, sorry. But you can tell us what formats you're thinking about using when you say "all formats"...

Creative Zen has by far the best codec support, nothing comes close, however there is no FLAC support. You may want to consider an inexpensive PocketPC PDA which can play just about anything you'll throw at it with third-party plug ins.
