Safe ? Yes..

Will it work? Maybe ..

You may have to manually configure to 1333, or the 1333 may work at 1600 and the looser timings..

The Gskill 1600's will default to 1333 on your M/B, just like the Gskill 1333's, although they will be at 999-24.

You should be able to just pair the memory modules in the memory slots as you normally would if you just installed 2 of them for dual channel operation. In dual channel operation, the 2 memory modules are accessed as if it they were a single larger module, so only the modules for each pair on one memory channel have to be identical.

Pair the other 2 modules in the other 2 slots, each set on one of the dual channel memory channels, and you should be good to go. Each memory channel will set the timings for the pair of memory modules on that particular channel if the default timings are different.

Seems to be working so far. I have them both at 1333 and the 9-9-9-24 timings. I have some networking problems, but none that seem to pertain to the memory, as far as I can tell. Thanks for the help!
