I'm kind of the same mindset. Even if the security footage cleared you for protecting someone else eventually, you'd still likely be detained for a while before they officially review the footage and find out this was indeed in someone's defense.

It's a sad system we live in, that you can't even help somebody that truly needs it without going through so much bullshit to do so.

so... you'd allow someone to get beat within an inch of your life because it might cause you a little hassle? seems to me more of the problem is people can't be bothered to be hassled than the sad state of being "detained" for a short period of time while law enforcement figures out what the hell went down.

In these forums, absolutely. News media? Different story. How ready to jump was the news media when that woman accused a bunch of lacrosse players of rape?

you talking about the duke scandal? because it wasn't until way later that the media discovered the escort was black. after that, they only focused on two of the lacrosse players for a little bit.

i actually went to the birthday party of one of those players. the guy rented out the entire bar back home in maryland. rich as hell, this kid.

Glad the two girls were caught. Given that one of them has assaulted someone before, I would expect her to get put in the slammer for awhile, as well she should be until she learns how to be a human being.

It's screwed up how all this shit ends up on WorldStarHipHop and is glorified.

Also that older woman that helped got punched in the face and was why she backed off.

Anyone know more of the other previous victim: Danielle K. Dower and her girls that were assault by the above criminal?

There was a vigil type gathering held outside the McDonalds and the older woman who helped the tranny was in attendance, but the tranny declined the invitation to be there. So she evidently wasn't too interested in thanking her in person.

Would you want to visit the same place where you nearly got beaten to death just days after? Yea I wouldn't.

I wouldn't either. I would want to thank her in private. I wouldn't want to be made more of a spectacle by the media.

Being beaten nearly to death would require at a minimum some type of identifiable injury for which a hospital admittance is medically required, if even just overnight for observation. She mostly got tossed around, smacked, and her hair pulled. And yes, I would attend, it was held in the parking lot and she would have been surrounded by supporters.

You realize the latter statement probably has a lot to do with the former.

Yeah, let me go back to the place only two girls beat my ass and no one helped where there is now going to be a mob of wannabe hiphop artists claiming I started the whole thing.

80% of ATOTers can't even lift their own body weight. What chance is there when stopping violent criminals?
I wonder what neckbeard is going to say about this. "the old lady trying to stop them would be LESS effective if she had a gun because..."

Earlier one of you guys said something about picking up a chair and slamming one of the ghetto thugs. You can't do in McDonalds because all of the chairs are bolted to the floor. I once worked in fast food ;)

That's because you go to the shitty McDonalds. There are more upscale (strange I know) ones where there is flat screen tvs, gas fire place(s), granite top coffee tables, couches and chairs.

QFT, also this person is avoiding all that happened to her. She didn't even share it with her family. Also it's doubtful she has insurance.

It's quite possible she's still hurt enough to require medical attention.
