What if I have 2 HD's on the primary IDE cable and a CD-Rom on my secondary IDE cable? Should I set my burner to master and install on the secondary cable and take the performance hit when doing CD-Rom to burner writing? Or can I improve performance by putting a HD and CD-Rom on the primary cable; then the burner as the master and the 2nd HD as the slave on the secondary IDE cable?

i got this burner about a month ago, had a few problems w/direct cd in the beginning, but everything works great now! This is an excellent and reliable burner for your money!
