Ugh.
My g/f (it's actually her loan) and I are getting closer to buying our first home. We called the property management company August 25th and asked for our 2.5 month old lease to be modified to 3 months or better yet, go to month to month now. "We'll get back to you after we confer with the owner of your rental!" Right...
Fast forward to last Wednesday. I call asking for an update. Our home search has cooled a bit, but I would still like a callback you slackers! I talk to another person and I tell her how we've been waiting over 4 weeks and have not been called back. Of course the guy I talked to in August is out of the office, but she can pull my file. "Odd, I don't see your lease (signed in June, mind you). Maybe it's not been processed yet." WTF, over?
"That's fine, please call me back when you find out what the status is."
No call back Thursday or Friday. I'm not shocked.
Tomorrow. Do I call and give her an out? "Are you feeling better Amanda? I heard you were out sick Thursday and Friday." Then when she says no, do I pounce?
Or do I ask point blank (but calmly) why I was not called back when I had already stated my displeasure about waiting 4 weeks+ for a callback?
Thoughts? Advice?
