So I'm in a bit of a quandary. First some background:
I graduated last year with degrees in Computer and Electrical Engineering (undergrad). I had done some web development for a small design company while in school and I got a job offer from a different company (utility industry) for a web development position post graduation which I took. I've been with this company for about 15 months now and its not exactly what I was looking for (lot of maintenance work, not so much development). The benefits are great though (6% 401k matching, pay for education, work from home one day a week) and its pretty laid back.
During this time I've been taking a grad course a semester and I've decided to pursue a masters in embedded systems. Also I recently got an opportunity for a graduate internship working in embedded systems at a large company.
I'm not sure if I should take it though. The salary is comparable to what I make now (hourly though and if I work 35-40 hours a week). No benefits other than sick time off and employee stock purchase program. There isn't a guarantee of a full time position afterwords but it's a strong possibility.
Thoughts?
