For me its about ~35-45 min. one way to work. All depending on weather, road work, etc.

It all makes sense now....cost accountant, bicycle riding to work....

a few miles to the Metro then 20 minutes on the Metro...avoiding traffic is worth making my commute longer

I would love to ride my bike to work (~1 hour) but there's no place to take a shower afterwards which is my biggest complaint/problem holding me back

Try again. :laugh:

LOL that's what I love about my work.

I get up, get dressed just like everyone else - and then I'm at work! No car, no drive, no fuss. 😀

You=PWNED! By a 39 Y/O guy who's been married for 14 years next Tuesday. :laugh:MAO!!!

Nowdays, no commute at all, since I'm not working, but much of my career had me commuting around 100 miles each way...every stinkin day...usually 6 days/week. In the morning, not TOO bad, since I'd leave the house before the commute traffic got heavy, but in the afternoon...SUX. S.F. bay area traffic is horrible on it's best days, and throw in some rain, and double the time. My AVERAGE day was: out the door by 4 a.m., home by 8-9 p.m. Some days, I wouldn't get home till 10 if traffic was VERY bad. Some weeks, it seemed like I'd pass myself going the other way on Thursday...

Anywhere from an 140 mile drive one way to a 5 minute walk across a parking lot to the client site.

That does not count the walk from the bedroom to my home office at times.

I go for quality, not quantity. 😉

Approximately 20 miles way, plus a few miles for lunch. So around 45 miles per day. I am trying to find a job that is closer and has a good schedule.

27miles each way, ~1hr average travel time each way. I'd like to find something closer and that pays more.. but well... I like my job now. heh

I drive about 3 miles... takes me about 15 minutes.

I don't know how people deal with long commutes, especially if they're driving. I used to take a boat to my old job, and that took like 45 minutes, but it wasn't that bad since I could read, walk around, take a nap, or whatever during the trip.

Monday morning and friday night about 110 miles each way which takes an hour and a half. The rest of the week it's only about a mile and takes me about three minutes.
