yeah well...my attendance record wasn't the greatest...and i do have somehwat of a lead foot...i have been doing better about keeping that under control...only a couple speeding tickets in the last couple years

Wow.

well considering in the first two years i had my drivers license, i racked up double digit tickets...i'm not going to say how many exactly...kinda embarrassed of my stupidity actually...lets just say it was more than 20...purposely got my license suspended 3 times to reset my points...yeah it was bad...but im paying for it now...450 a month for insurance...and it just went down from 586...after a couple years of good driving my insurance should be about 200 or so a month...but for now i'm paying for my idiocy in my teenage years
20 speeding tickets and you're paying a mere $450/month. You made off like a bandit. Most of us speed and don't get many/any tickets. For you to have gotten 20 you must be a total maniac.

quakefiend420, you really need to chill out, sooner or later they're going to lose their patience with you & really fvck you over...

By your statement, you say your arrangement was to pay on the 2nd of the month yet you didn't pay until the 3rd of the month. Perhaps that was why your license was correctly suspended and now you have this new problem. Live up to your agreements and maybe you won't have these problems.

Having gone through some suspension issues myself (related to unpaid parking tickets) I can assure you that until you receive your reinstatement notice, you are in the system as suspended. The DMV is an evil incompetent bureaucracy and you can't sit back and assume anything will go your way.

Beat me to that point. You didn't uphold your end of the agreement, so it was suspended. Even if you were only a day late.

You're a moron for driving with a suspended license. You should have your license permanently revoked. Be happy you got off with 500.

piss off...if you had read a bit you would notice i had fulfilled the requirements of my payment arrangement and my license shouldn't have been suspended...i have a reciept to prove it

Just because you pay your fine doesn't mean it automatically gets unsuspended.
Yes it does.

OP, you should keep thoes court payment receipts with you in your car for a minimum of 6 months.
That is common knowledge that you apparantly didn't know, so you learned the hard way.

OP, completely unfair, but you should be able to straigten it out even without a lawyer. don't listen to Nik, he's bitter because he works a minimum wage job and is forced to still live with his mom.

bloodninja says "aight"😛

Only in America are people willing to drive like morons and almost lose their licenses, then pay WHATEVER it takes to keep driving.

Why? He does the exact same thing, but in the end nik usually gets owned from his moronic assumptions.

how come you needed a bailbondsman for a measely 75 bucks?

well it would have cost me 229 to pay the ticket straight up and get out...or 75 to get a bondsman to write a bond

ok rant time...got pulled over for one of my four taillights being out...turns out license was suspended...convinced the cop to let me use his cell phone to call my mom and get her to come get my car...sat in jail for a total of 8 minutes waiting on the bondsman...cost 75 to get out...it'll be 229 for the driving under suspension ticket...plus i'll probably have to pay off the rest of the ticket that caused the suspension, 115 dollars there...but i had made a payment arrangement to pay 50 on the 2nd of each month until it was paid off...made payment on the 3rd...have a reciept for it...my license should never have been suspended to begin with...i have to call the dmv tomorrow and the county where i actually got the original ticket to find out what the hell happened...and i'll probably have to pay 75 to get my license reinstated...

tally for the evening:
75 get outta jail
229 suspension ticket
115 pay off ticket that caused the suspension
75 reinstate license

494$ grand total

cliffs notes

1. went to jail for driving under suspension
2. sat in jail 8 minutes, paid 75 to bondsman to get out
3. license was suspended for a ticket i had already made a payment on
4. have to pay a total of 494$ over this little incident
5.profit?!?!?!?!?!?!??????

is it me, or does this have the makings of a "priceless" mastercard commercial written all over it?

so true.

to the op: if you have more than 20 speeding tickets, you need your license revoked. how stupid and immature do you have to be to get that many? at this rate, its only a matter of time before you hurt or kill yourself, or worse, some one else.

grow up.

Should have paid on a Saturday if the second was a Sunday. And, it may have taken them a day or two to process the suspension. I am willing to bet that the terms were you pay the payment BY the second. You missed the date, you deal with the penalties therein.
