Ok, I DLed it.
Pretty cool.
Now, it opened 50 billion little windows with a bunch of crap I don't want.
Where do I set the default so that the only thing it opens when I turn on my PC is the flippin weather widget?

everybody and their mother are making widgets/gadgets now

apple started them, yahoo took in konfabulator, google desktop has them, ms vista has them.

I don't like them.

I love widgets . . . . in moderation anyway.

I have a couple of basic system monitoring widgets I always have on along with a forecast widget. I use a handful more than that on occasion, but use them only temporarily.

Last time I checked, Yahoo still hasn't come out with a Launchcast widget. I'd LOVE to see one for that as I've got my Launchcast station really dialed-in now.

all i have is my weather, gmail checker, and powerXP

it's nice 🙂

If you have dual monitors, the widgets are great. At work I have MSNBC news, ESPN news, Wired news, digital clock, weather, CPU monitor, and memory monitor on my second screen, along with the app I use to monitor my ticket queue (I'm a desktop support guy). At home I don't use widgets because I have one screen, so I don't see the point.

i used to run yahoo but now am using google desktop's gadgets

i only have weather (snowglobe, its weird, it still snows in the dome in the summer at 90 degrees :laugh😉, cpu monitor and notification for news/gmail

I found google gadgets to be quite messy and annoying. It seemed to slow my PC down alot too, are widgets any better?
