Find a file called "filter1.txt" in your Yahoo Messenger directory. In my case is: C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger
I learnt something from it.

Well, I deleted that...

Basically it's a buncha variations on a phrase they use a lot in a movie like Pulp Fiction.

Or, if you can't guess that. "I'm one baaadd" "Shut your mouth!"

[edit:] And I am glad I use Trillian. Only have the others as backups. Strip them as clean as possible too, for them to even earn the right to sit on my machine.

Well, I don't have Yahoo messenger, and I'm certainly not an expert in this area... but do you suppose that file could have been a filter for phrases that will be filtered out of conversations on Yahoo messenger?

Kinda. The Free version of trillian doesn't at all, and the Pro version, I think does it without sound, although don't quote me on that, I don't use Yahoo messenger on trillian 🙂
