Yahoo Mail > Gmail
Yahoo IM > GoogleTalk

Google search > Yahoo search
Google maps > Yahoo Maps

Yahoo TV listings FTW!

YahooIM is annoying.

AIM > Y! Messenger/GoogleTalk. Either one may be a better program, but userbase is what matters.

I like the simplicity of gmail, too. Yahoo mail has huge flash ads everywhere and I get at least 50 spam messages a day. I've stopped using Yahoo mail because I have to read the damn spam to actually find my email.

Google pwns yahoo especially for medical related searchs

The doctors at work call it cheating to use google....but they use it all the time for teaching their interns/residents, in fact on our intraweb home page it has a google search tab built into the website

weird, same here, I use google to search but Yahoo is my homepage as well...

my yahoo looks better than personalized google. google video is a nice novelty that I use.

gmail I like better, as I tend to agree w/ the labeling method of organizing (and I'm a pack rat). Yahoo's NEW mail interface looks extremely promising.... but again, I like gmail better. gmail also has more features w/o paying.. for now.. neither have a key feature of fastmail I want/need. It's what has kept me from switching completely to either one.

search... google wins.

IM: googletalk as a client sucks, but I like what google want's to do.. make IM a standard protocol.. Jabber FTW! Trillian is my almost perfect client... I loved adium on OS X...

In other words... they both better keep on chuggin, competition is good.

google is the only search engine i use, but thats not to say that yahoo and other suck. i just prefer google for its simplicity, speed, and it usually hits the nail on the head the first time around when i search for something
