I tried to access my Yahoo email account Monday evening, and the PW I've used for years wasn't recognized. I tried all of their recovery tools, and finally got a "temporarily suspended - please try later" message. It claimed some of my info didn't match. I haven't changed my date of birth (as much as I'd like to), zip code or any of the other info they requested.
One thing that has changed, however, is a "New!" feature on their sign in page allowing one to remain signed in for 2 weeks. Before that appeaed, I rarely had any problems. Now I'm having to deal with all sorts of questions from their Security dept.
The main sticking point is the email address I used when I first signed up. That was nearly 10 years ago! I've listed every address from every ISP I ever used, but they don't seem to match. How should I have known I'd have to keep that info for all these years?
I'm beginning to suspect they've lost the account. It's not a life or death situation, but I'd like to access it long enough to recover some saved emails and permanently switch to gmail.
Has anyone else experienced any problems over the last few days?
Thanks . . .
