I always thought indian giver referred to how we'd give stuff to the indians and then take it back, not vice versa 😕 Eh whatever, I haven't believed anything on Yahoo Answers since they tried to tell me how babby is formed.

Catholic doctrine is that if you sell your soul to the devil but then recant, you get it back. The rationale is that the devil is a liar and has no intention of honoring the contract therefore the contract was void ab initio.
