I kept getting hangs on my system when I was making the change from the d1_canals_01 map to the d1_canals_01a map. Couldn't for the life of me figure it out. I tried jumping ahead in the map cycle to canals_02 and it ran fine, and tried jumping direcly to 01a without having the game do it... crash.

So I want to delete the 01a map file and re-acquire it. I found a .gcf viewer, but I can't find an app that will let me delete the map from the .gcf file.

I renamed the old .gcf file and am re-acquiring the entire thing, but if there's a quicker way...
