"DiscoveryHD_Science_of_SW_intro_1080i.ts" ~160MB

Upped it to FK's server in the usual place. Have y'all gotten your machines to play these files yet?

Enjoy!

Aww damn...*turns in HD card*
Are there freeware converters? (I've only been paying attention to playback and only kinda skimmed over conversions )

What do you want for OTA or satellite transmission of HD content? There's just not enough bandwidth to go around for even higher bitrates.

clichéd as it is, but i'd be a kid in a candy store if i could hang out in alt.binaries.hdtv but sadly, i do not have access to newsgroups (or none that i know without paying).

The soldier with no hand in that show is my uncle, BTW.

Nothing to do with HD, but I wanted you to know.

Done. Its in the vids/hd/h.264 folder.

I used Moonlight OneClick Compressor. Maybe as a comparison, if Goose can use Nero Recode. And if Eug happens to read this, if he could convert with QT7. I wonder how much difference in quality and performance between the 3 different programs.
