Ok, so it's not "brand" new. It's still good. It'll make a really great project car. So now you're wondering what kind of car it is? Wanna know? Too bad!

It's a 1990 Honda Civic CRX. It's got 112,000 miles on it. The body is in PERFECT condition and the interior is good. Gonna put sounds in it as soon as I get the car at my house (tomorrow afternoon). Yay! I finally have a car! Damn I'm having one hell of a good day! 🙂

bunman, wow, someone else that knows about b16a and b18c...i'd go for the b16a, nice vtec and can be found in junkyards if you're lucky🙂

 
Congratulations on picking up a very nice car, I'd say you are good for at least another 100,000 miles. The CRX is supposed to handle beautifully, and though it may not have the greatest straight line speed, it should be a lot of fun through the twisties. I'm going to repeat everyone's warning against "ricing" the car, the CRX looked great stock, no need to be adding stickers and wings.

hehe... if i have another crx try to race me i'll strangle someone. so heres what i recommend:

don't try to race a car if it:
1.) is a white 240sx (ps13)
2.) has a nice loud blow off valve
3.) has 1 decal saying "Altered Atmosphere" in the rear right window
4.) is on real 16" volk TE-37's

please don't do it ^_^. trust me, you don't want me to strangle you. you can ask my roomate!! hehe no seriously, the car that i have to say trys to "pick" on me the most is the honda crx. don't be one of those guys. be too cool to race a nissan, or any car on the street for that matter. dragging is stoopid. go road race! or auto cross! you have a very light car, and can be quick with the right mods. be careful not to play your "sounds" too loud around your house, or any area where you will park your car for more than 20 min as you don't want them stolen.
 
Damn, you think I'd rice it? It's gonna be a semi-show car. Which means I'm going to rice it. *L* Don't worry though. No giant wings of gaudy body kits. Gonna go with either a Buddy Club kit (molded on of course) or a nice clean Wings West kit. The enigne is going just as soon as I get enough saved up for it (gonna drop in a integ engine). The interior is going to go soon too. And don't worry about racing. My cars gonna be all show, but still can go.

I don't race. Racing sucks! Gonna slam sounds first. Then drop, then full exhaust, then wires. The basics...

Holy crap - I figured I'd see one or two "no rice" posts, but there's like a dozen of them? Why do you care so much about what he does with his car? I could care less if he makes his own body kit/wings, just do what the hell you want to your car. Do what makes you happy and what whatever you think makes your car look attractive - do it. I can't believe so many damn people come out just to say "don't do this or that with your car!!"...

You mean no huge a** 2 foot high spoilers, lowered to just 0.5 inches off the ground with body paneling and stickers everywhere? Bring out the ricer in you!

Just say no to rice. Seriously though those are great cars, many years ago a friend bought a mint condition white 1989 Civic CRX from these old folks, low miles, great condition, like new interior for like only $3,500 I was so jealous and still am of him. Of course I wouldn't rice pilaf it up though.

RossMan - Got it privately from this guy. Got it for like 1850.00. It's in really good condition. No dings or rust. Yay, I'm sooo happy! 🙂 Only downside is that I gotta pick it up on Monday instead of today. Oh well, I can wait a few more days.
 
If you are going to drop a Integra engine, I highly suggest you get it certified, or you will get nailed. There are cops out there now that know every inch and cranny about Honda cars. They can probably tell if the screws holding your intake togeher or stock or not 😀
