The 30 is as fat as a 21. I hate the 45/10mm frame glocks because they are so goddamn huge. The glock trigger needs work too, you cant have a decent trigger pull without swapping parts or cutting springs.

The 36 I had was great, it fit my big mitts wonderfully.

IMO (and I am a happy Glock owner), double-stack Glocks are not ideal for concealed carry, because they are just so thick. I've always wished they'd make a single-stack .45 in either full- or mid-size, because I like the Glock design, but it hasn't happened yet.

They make the Glock 36, but it is 4mm thinnner than the G30 (not all that much thinner, but slightly more than 10% thinner). Otherwise it shares the dimensions of the G30, which feels pretty small to me, though it is still acceptable.

Have you tried one of the Para LDAs? I can't imagine a better carry weapon than one of the compact single-stack LDA pistols - they're very compact, thin, and SO sweet to shoot. IMO the LDA trigger, which is, like a Glock, effectively a single-and-a-half-action in terms of feel, is about as good as pistol triggers get. I like my Glock, but the LDA is a lot nicer to shoot IMO.

Actually... I havent, but that is a good idea. I'll have to call the ranges around my area and see which, if any, is renting them out.

I guess I'll go back out to the range and test a few different models. 😀

I didnt say I wanted a permit because of where I work, I said where I work would interfere with using my CC permit.

As to why I want one: a) I can get one and b) I'm probably going to be moving back into a crappy neighborhood soon, and quite frankly I want at least a level playing field, and c) I can get one. Carrying around a pistol can be quite annoying at times, and there are a lot of hoops to jump through if you want to do it legally, but there are times when one is extremely useful. Much better to have one and never need it than to need it and not have it.
