I hate the fact that my work blocks pics.bbzzdd.com. I mean, how do they even know about Skoorb's official hosting site?

Anyway, I love my AR but I am really getting interested in putting together a classic A1 or even E1 version, triangular hand guard, no forward assist, no casing deflector, 3 prong flash suppressor. Just something about the classic look and feel, the historical significance, makes it appealing to me.

Something like this:

I work IT at your company. That's how I know what to block 😉

so who you planning on killing?

😕

I don't 'shoot to kill.' I utilize the amount of force necessary to prevent death or serious bodily injury. There's a difference. 😉

so who you planning on utilize the amount of force necessary to prevent death or serious bodily injury?

Hopefully you.

I 2nd that...he can take one for the team and be a learning experience for us.

🙂

The AR15/M16/variants are great weapons. I just don't agree with the idiots hunting big game with them because it's allowed.

what would it take to convert one of these to a three shot burst?

Bout 10 grand, give or take.

For a little piece of metal. Go figure, eh? 😛

Example

I think the difference with the legal parts vs making your own is there is a way to grandfather a gun in with them...I am not a gun expert, just know alot of heavily armed people.

You know, if you equip the silencer you get much more accurate shots at the CT's from across the map.

😉

Maybe he's alluding to the suitability of the .223 caliber for taking down big game. The round breaks apart easily; if you are shooting an animal with a thick hide you may end up tearing off chunks of flesh instead of cleanly severing through the vital organ.

A friend at work let me borrow his AR-15 for a bout 3 weeks. I only shot it one day though.

It may have been his set-up but I didn't like it. The distance from trigger to butt was too short, even with the collapsible buttstock. The buttstock was uncomfortable also. He sent along a .22 conversion kit and I did like shooting .22 in semi auto so I went and bought a Ruger 10/22.

Or failing that - which monarch has been giving you such a hard time?

You have internet access in your bunker?

And I don't know - posting pictures like that, in that context, in this day in age, with internet surveillance the way it is, I don't think even your tinfoil hat will save you.

Well that's the beautiful thing, the AR is so ridiculously customizable that you can fix almost anything you don't like about it. I have this one and sometimes I wish it were shorter. But it is definitely comfortable for my body size.

I guess you have never been to arfcom, or even DU for that matter.

That picture embodies everything that the 2nd amendment is about. Deal with it.

Check out this AR!

Everytime I see that the phrase "gear queer" comes to mind.

You could build 6 or 7 nice AR's just by selling most of that gear hanging off of that used.

lol, i think the story behind it was that some guys on arforum.com were having a contest to see how much crap they could put on their ARs.

yeah, considering the prices of some of the gear for AR15s, you could buy several ARs. Some of those scopes go for $600+

No, $600 is the price I see on those most of the time. Sometimes they will go to $529 on a sale though.
