Alrighty, thanks for all your responses. It's time to bury this. I'll leave the pic just to confuse people coming into this thread. :)

In all honesty this is going to happen many more times. Get used to it. She just wasn't into you.

Just move on...you should only be pissed about this for one day. No need to dwell on it. Don't date a FOB.

I think I hear the whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaambulance

I might be reading wrong, but did you call her 3 times a week for 3-4 weeks without a return call? If so, you should have stopped at call #3 or #4, we will need pictures to see if she was worth the fourth call.

Sorry, but going on just what you've written in your post, I wouldn't even want to be your friend in the end after that.

You sound like you were pushy, controlling, and almost obsessed with her. I'm glad you aren't with her for both of your sakes.

Oh, and you're whining.

Just laying my cards all out on the table so there wouldn't be any mystery to the situation. I guess this new method of being honest doesn't work quite well with some girls.

I think the question should be, " I called her 3 times a week for 3-4 weeks. Why don't I understand that she's not interested if she won't call me back?"

Don't be pissed. You told her how you felt in words, she showed you how she felt with action. You should've stopped calling after the first week, maybe second.

So no, you should not be mad.

It doesn't work well with any of them. Gotta play the game man.

There's something to be said for laying your cards out on the table and then there's something to be said for 'playing the game' and leaving an ace up your sleeve.

1. Girls will never just tell you straight that they aren't interesed, way too awkward.
2. The fact you don't understand this and couldn't read the obvious signs means you haven't much experience, which is quite normal. Live and learn, there will be others
3. Dealing with girls is alot like poker, you never show your hand until it's time

I agree that you shoulda stopped at the third call. I probably wouldn't have even made the third. That said, this whole 'she just coulda been honest' is something you'll probably say many more times. And guess what - girls say it just as much about guys, and for good reason. I've been guilty of it myself - it's tough to let someone down.

That's just the way a lot of chicks operate. I know you don't wanna hear it, but it just is.

A friend of mine recently had a similar situation. Except it was with a chick he was living with for over 2 years. He came home from work, she wasn't there. All her stuff was gone including all pictures of her and him together. There was no note, she was just gone. He took it pretty hard, so hard he called the chicks mother(who he despised), but she didn't know where the chick was either. After 4 days the chick contacts him on MSN and explains she was convinced by some peeps she was chatting with online that he was dangerous and she needed to leave him. She was also out of the country(Canada) and when her Mom heard of it freaked out and contacted the FBI(?? dunno why, but anyway). She decides to come back, but my friend is pissed and doesn't want her back after this, so he gets her mom to come by to pick her up when she shows. She took it pretty hard, but I don't blame my friend for his choice. I liked her, she was a nice person and all, but WTF?

Moral: Chicks do some crazy sh1t. Life goes on though, you just got to accept it.

Nah, I realize all these things. I'm just ranting and being pissed off. :D

1) You're not over it if you're creating this post.
2) Just because you tell someone to be honest with you doesn't mean they will. Almost everyone says they appreciate honesty, but few really do. Who wants to hear, "I don't think you are attractive and I have no interest in you whatsoever"? No one. Would you rather she say, "I just like you as a friend" or some other such nonsense? She opted to take the non-confrontational route like many would.
3) Get used to it and adapt my friend.
4) Good luck

How can you be over someone that you never actually went out with??? From the sound of your post you sound real young. Do not call a woman multiple times at all. If they like you they will call you back, if they don't like you they won't. They will think you are weird if you keep calling them. Live and learn and just keep it safe, wrap it up, and make sure you NEVER have a girlfriend before you are in your mid-twenties. You are young so have fun and please god don't post another YAGT. Also it's like 3 months later and you are still tripping over this??? Umm yea

As I said to my other friend, I'd rather she hit me in the face directly with the blunt and honest truth rather than carve me slowly with pitiful "hints" and let me bleed.

You put her in a very awkward situation by telling her all this. You should never tell a girl you like her before you get to know her.
