I guess I am just a dork...but I can't drink tonight. I've been drinking all week..and I have not been sleeping very much. I just want to relax, have a nice dinner, maybe a LITTLE wine/beer.

I just don't want to get trashed, and I really don't feel like spending my time with someone who is....and vice versa.

Yes. Once I went to pic up a girl and she had been drinking. She fell asleep about 15 minutes after I showed up. I left and a few hours later when she woke up I had about 3 or 4 voicemails begging me to go back😉

im not looking for a girlfriend ... I am leaving the country very soon.

I AM looking to have fun, but getting hammered with her tonight does not sound fun. It is something I would rather save for the weekend, when I can sleep the hangover off.
 
If we hadn't already made a dinner date I would not be pissed....its that she got trashed KNOWING we had a date.

I am not going to bother with most of the thread, but here are some thought that you can ignore all you want 😉

How old is she? She looks to be young twenties, but I am bad at guessing ages. If she is, and maybe going to school, this is the type of thing most of the 20 somethings I know do. They work, go to school, and drink.

Can you actually have an interresting conversation without anyone drinking or bringing up the subject of alcohol? If not she might have a few more problems with it than you want to deal with.

No, that is not what I mean by snobbish. I just meant that you seem to be making judgements about this person, and talking bad about her without really knowing her or what she is really doing.

I don't know if she has a drinking problem. I don't think that her actions today are ANY kind of indicator of a major problem. I am just pissed that she did it when we had a nice date planned.

It's interesting already...I didn't know there was history already. 🙂 So then just have a couple of drinks, not enough to have a hangover, and skip the dinner res (sounds like she'd make a scene or fall asleep in her food), and go straight onto the movie/whatever.

And as for my comment before...I didn't mean that drinking's bad, hell I drink hard too, but starting at noon is gonna make her totally out of it and tired later, which is just disrespectful.

I smoke herb, I drink, I party till the sun comes up.....

Ah.

Well, she does seem to be making poor choices, including being intimate with someone she doesn't know very well and calling him at work while she is getting drunk.

That doesn't mean she is a bad person... but she is showing remarkably bad judgement at this stage in her life, IMHO. The one she is hurting is herself, and that's sad. Hopefully, this is not a pattern for her.

look I totally agree with your comments before AND now.

I dont see this as some "look at the big picture" issue....I just got excited about a nice quiet dinner and a chance to connect with someone in a peaceful environment. Call me a looser, but every once in a while I enjoy this.

But I am sure that dinner is out of the question now.... and it is kinda pissing me off.
