What does it take to get a hot girlfriend?

I mean clearly only a certain proportion of the population of girls are hot, so they are not for everybody.
They have the power to demand something in return, so what is it that they seek for in guys,

what is that special sizzling spark they look for in a man, that the girls maybe don't need, but they are really happy if they can get it?

I mean for guys, its obviously appearances. I dont think I can find one guy who doesnt feel more inclined to talk to hotter girls.
So what is it that makes the girls want to talk to the guys, or be more open to the guys?
Is it appearances likewise? Is it that yappy junk about confidence? Is it how tall he is? how much money is in his pocket?

I mean guys are so easy to understand. Appearances is that special little spark that we need,
but what about the girls,
I have yet to hear a definitive answer on this.

Step away from the computer, you are posting on a forum where I doubt maybe 1% would have a girlfriend to be considred "hot". You need to go outside and get some fresh air and not post about Girls you wish you had.


Whoah, I'll take a try at this-
In my experience, it's about confidence, not necessarily being cocky, but being secure.
Also on the list is the idea of having goals in life (this is huge to college chicks who want a "real" man to settle with)
Being funny helps, but not being overly stupid in the sense-

get those TWO main things down and maybe you'll have a chance (doubt it, but maybe)

Women and men are on different cycles.

When women are young and hot, chances are that the men the same age are geeky. Women have the comodity of thier bodies (looks, sex appeal) to barter with. Men only have thier future (earning) potential to barter with.

As women age, thier comodities decrease, as men age thier comodities increase. So when a woman is in her 20's she has her pick of the litter when it comes to men. Men in thier 20's have to scrape by with whatever they get lucky with. This is why you typically see hot chicks with older men.

But, move forward to the 30's and 40's. Men have graduated school, become successful in thier careers, while the women have only aged. Now the geeky 20-something is 30 or 40-something, and can date the 18-24 year olds.

So you may have eggcrate furniture and share an apartment with several room mates now, but you'll do much better than this as you become more successful in life. Never sell your own potential short.

There is obviously a certain population of women that go for guys for purely superficial or materialistic reasons. But, on a general basis, I think this is what women are attracted to:

1. confidence- not neccesairly an ego, but just a happiness with themselves that natural
2. chivalry- it doesn't have to be in your face, but its very attractive when a man treats you with respect and honor
3. health/hygenie- i know this is random, but this is what i mean- you don't have to be the hottest guy on the block, but if you take care of yourself and health, it can really make a difference. Dress decently, take care of your body- you don't have to be a metrosexual, just clean!

I constantly see girls with boyfriends that aren't neccesarily hot or rich or whatever men usually think is important. I think its these things that are below the surface.

Seriously, so many of you guys out there think you are God's gift to women, act as if you know everything about relationships and dating (when the reality is they've only had 1 gf

) , and have no effing clue about us. Have confidence in yourself. If you see a girl you're interested in, find out about her, and don't be afraid to talk. The truth is, hot girls are waiting for the guy to make the move. We don't know we're hot unless we're told!

good looks and confidence. you dont need to have a high self-esteem to be confident. dont need money for all the girls... my bf is a poor boy
