Went to this outdoor range out by Lake Wolford outside of Escondido with a friend of mine and his son. I only took my Ruger 10/22 and a Winchester lever action rifle chambered in .44 Magnum. We had the 100 yard rifle range all to ourselves for the entire afternoon.

This is the first time I've shot this gun since installing the new barrel, trigger, and stock. Had to sight it in at 25 yards just to get my shots on the target but once I had it on target I was getting groups about the size of a dime at 50 yards. We didn't put targets out farther than that because we didn't have a spotting scope and it was really hard to see where the shots were using only the rifle scope.

My son even shot the .44 Magnum.

Shens. No way you would wear a shirt with 'Texas' written on it, nor would you associate with such people.

He's one of my best friends actually. He was born in Croatia but he is a U.S. citizen. He owns a house in Texas, rental property.

He's no republican I can tell you that. 😀

Oh, and he rides a Ducati. :sneaky:

That's a sweet stock. Where'd you get it?

Gun show in San Diego... probably paid too much for it.

Good choice in barrel. Looks like the tacsol I'm guessing?

I love shooting my 22 but it does get boring after a while.

I find the rifles to get a little boring unless you have multiple targets to move to. I like shooting my buckmark though. Dead nuts accurate and being 22 I can shoot it all day with minimal impact to my wallet.

.22 is cheap and fun to shoot, but it has to be the dirtiest ammo, besides black powder.

Yeah I spent more time cleaning my .22 than all of my other guns combined (although I do shoot more rounds through it I guess). I hate the "sand" (unburnt powder?) it leaves in the trigger group D:

Tactical Solutions, yes. I haven't shot this gun in ages, not since the upgrades anyway and I was enjoying shooting it today (I bought the barrel, stock, and trigger back in December-owned the gun for many many years). My son loved it too, I'd keep reloading it and he'd shoot 10 rounds through it and go again.
