So, grateful computer chick never got back to me and I resorted to redoubling my efforts on a local myspace chick. How should I respond to this message I just got
Flirty stuff

Anyway, what are you up to this weekend? Some of my pals may be getting together for Game Night. (Cranium) If you're up for the challenge, let me know. And since we're practically neighbors, you can call me, I guess. #. My e-mail is email. There - now you know everything there is to know...

~B

Should I respond tonight? Should I try to steer it away from friends? Why does she want me to meet friends? I think I should respond soon if I am going to tonight.

Do you want to go?
[ ] Yes. If yes, say yes by using any method of communication you are able to use.
[ ] No. Give your kind regards and ask to plan for another time. If you feel brave, ask for this time to be alone.

Despite it being myspace, good luck.

Why does she want me to meet friends?

1) Safety net for herself
2) She can instantly ask her friends if they think you're hot/ugly, cool/a$$hole
3) Easy context to dump you into the friend-zone if things don't work out

Sounds questionable, bring a friend too and plan your escape in advance.

you should go
some girls are just more comfortable with their support group, or a safety net, as was mentioned earlier
Go tonight, and if things work out, then offer to take her to dinner, or whatever private thing you had in mind. If she keeps up this friend thing more than a couple times, then definitely back off.

I think I'll call her tomorrow after class. It's getting too late tonight.

She wants you to meet friends for 2 reasons:
1) To make sure you're not a 50 y.o. serial rapist.
2) A girl's friends are your first test before you're "in". If her friends don't like you you're screwed.

Seriously, I hate to sound cliche but watch Hitch, take notes. Ignore the point of the movie to "be yourself". It's true, but so is every freakin word he says and trust me, I have 0 problems with women.
