YAGT: This hint? Too late?

Well, I was talking with a friend of mine who also happens to be female and I find quite attractive... topic turned to movies and I mentioned I had seen Harry Potter 2 twice. She said she didn't see it and said to me that she wished that she had someone to go with. (I'm one of the many unemployed jokers in the networking thread above)

So naturally my spider sense started tingling and normally I would jump over that like stink on poo. However, when she said this I just froze, blanked out, "NARF"ed. From there our conversation continued on and I never really talked about it from there...

The basic situation is this. She's been an old childhood friend and she's currently a 1st year resident at a nearby hospital in the area. If you aren't familiar with being a doc, she's fairly busy at work most of the time. On call & working during the weekdays and has to work every other weekend. Major thing is that she's spending her 1st year at the local hospital and then the rest of the residency will be all the way across the US in CA. I've also never been in a relationship that hasn't been at least 6-8 months long since I usually know by the first date.

So ATOTers, what should I do now?

BTW, I saw HP2 once then the second time my family dragged me... I'm still surprised that I didn't ask her out then and there.
Mebbe it was lack of sleep, yeah... that's my excuse! 😀

Well let's see....cute girl wants to see a movie and bemoans the fact that she has no one to go with while you are talking to her. Hmmmm.....let's see.....what could that mean.....golly gee willikers.....GET A CLUE MAN!!! She wants you to ask her to go.

Jeebus.....it's a wonder any of you people ever get laid.

I'd say go for it, if you don't try, you'll never know.

Live for now and see where the relationship lead to before worrying about what will happen 6 months from now.

buy tickets to kino when you know she's off, surprise her with them

if she don't wanna go, tell her that you sold a kidney to buy them (good old guilt dates)

if she still don't wanna go, just get refunds on the tickets

No problem really 😀
Just that I think I'm stupid and missed the best chance to ask her out. I'll ask her out next time I see her... don't wanna be seen as overanxious. Or should I? 😉

Don't wait....just call her...jeez....you people astonish me.....don't be afraid of girls......call her up....tell her you were thinking about seeing the movie again and since she mentioned she wanted to see it you thought of her and decided to call.

Just quit beating around the bush & ask out her brother, you know it's what you want, or you wouldn't be so freaking indecisive...

I think it is too late for you. You blew your one and only chance of ever getting laid in this life. On the positive side, your right hand won't be jealous.

Just call her soon and ask her if she still wants to see the movie. What's the worst that'll happen? She'll say no? Boohar.

uh look, just call her and be like "hey, do you want to go see that harry potter flick?"

oh wait, i see that you have already seen it. well i dunno then, only do it if you want to see 3 times imo... 24 bucks on one movie seems like a lot. depends on how much you like her i guess.
