Send her a message that you're disappointed she didn't want to meet and that you will have to take someone else to the yacht club this weekend. OK, maybe not that obvious, but you should be able to find a way to let her know she made a mistake with her quick judgement.

Then move on, no matter whether she responds or not.

Older guys = usually "I like guys with money and 'stuff', plus easier to control ;)".

Some chicks like more mature guys but that does not come with age IMHO.

I liked older women in the past, but now finding they are more my age. I like the look of a late 20's to mid 30's chick...a bit of age on them and no so much 'babyfat'.

You guys obviously didn't get the point of that thread.
I didn't want to be in a situation where women are more attracted to my wallet rather than my personality given the financial status of a lot of the people I date.

As I pointed out, $60k Canadian where I live is worth $80k in Dallas and over $100k in NewYork, so there is a large discrepancy between other people my age in the city I live in.

Not getting into that at this point; this girl is University educated and is in the medical field, she'll be fairly well off on her own.

Isn't 100K about average, or possibly low, for a NYC income?

That's right. Tell her you'll have to find someone else to have dinner with. Then send her a picture of your yacht. This one is really Larry Ellison's but she doesn't know that. You're making 60k Canadian. Flaunt it!

My Yacht

Here's some background on the yacht in case there are questions.

"Feast your eyes on the Rising Sun. At 454 feet, it's the longest privately owned boat in the world. Master yacht designer Jon Bannenberg built it for Ellison. The design started at 300 feet and growing as Larry heard about other billionaire boats. By now, his accountant is discovering new and exciting kinds of heart attacks."

it's probably not the age thing, but that is an easy way to let you down without being harsh

I sent this girl a message because she caught my eye:

"I am really not sure what i am looking for, so i thought i'd check this out and see what it had to offer. I am a pretty easy going and very active. I am just finishing my last year of school, completing my internship at one of ***** hospitals. I have an appreciation for life, family and everything gained in life. I love to experience new things and places.
I am a very independant, successful and outgoing woman who appreciates a man with integrity, honesty and career goals. I guess thats really all i feel like telling you right now ;), but email me if you want to know more!

So I dropped her a line and she sent me a message back saying:
"Thanks for the msg, but i like older guys. Goodluck w/ everything on here"
.

Translation: She has a kid and is looking for an older guy for support her financially. She's a golddigger.

$100k is not about average or low anywhere.

You may not be able to afford to live in a nice high-rise in NYC on that income though.

So one woman of the billions out there is saying she's not interested. Just as you aren't going to be interested in every woman in the world, she's not interested in every man.

Is there really anything to do but ignore her and move on? Answer: no. It's not even worth being annoyed about. Isn't it better that she said what she did, instead of pretending to be interested just to waste your time?

. . .

What the hell is that?

She reads ATOT and knows you're only out there for a quick fvsk rather than a serious relationship (or maybe she has a gut feeling about these things). So naturally you got rejected, boooo-hoooo. But of course it's very nice to comfort yourself saying she is just another golddigger.

She is being very nice. If she were truthful she'd say "I'm in the medical field to meet a rich older doctor. You and your salary meet neither of those qualifications. Good luck with that!"

Since your memory is apparently clouded by all that "fine" canadian beer, i am not a phd student. I finished my phd in 2002. :p

BTW, have you started going to the gym yet?

if answer == 'no'
go to gym
else if answer == 'yes'
go more frequently
end

Finishing PhD not equal to a job...nice try though.

I am 6'1, 185...definately within normal range; thanks for the suggestion though, ass.

Why are you even posting this? You got rejected, it's time to move on.

I have met women who prefer dating older men, some because they like a more mature man, some because they like a mature man's money. Some just use it as an excuse to let down guys who ask them out but who they don't want to date.

In any event, stop overanalyzing and move onto someone else.

Damn d00d, lay off that canadian beer that is rotting your memory and probably dwindling your lavish bank account. Again, you apparently dont remember that i was out of work for 4 MONTHS not years. Your parents, if you remember them, must be proud of your stupidious memory.
