LOL... I love how everytime food is brought up everyone hammers pretty much any chain. Most have a few decent dishes, certainly better than what I'm likely to prepare for myself at home. And price is largely irrelevant... some of the best food is at local dives.

While she is stuck up, I never eat at chain restaurants if I'm picking the place to eat. Why go to Friday's and get some generic, mass-produced dish when you can go to a local place and get real dishes thought up by the people cooking it for you. Plus you're supprting the local restaurant owners.

But man.. to blow you off saying that she doesn't eat "low class" food. She needs to change her diamond tampon and get that piece of gold toilet paper out of her ass because she is freaking stuck up.

Yeah, according to Anandtech there is NO good chain. Meh. Fridays mozzarella sticks > any other mozzarella sticks.

I eat at a lot of non-chains, but to call the food at a chain horrible is ludicrous. If the food was horrible, people wouldn't eat there, and it wouldn't be a chain. Say the food is not to your liking, because saying the food is horrible just makes you look stupid.

honestly, there are chain places that are very tasty and have consistant food.

However, a proper, decent chick would be happy to have someone offer to take her out... no matter to McD's or RuthChris...

I will. Wendy's sucks because they don't toast their buns anymore.

Never been to in & out, but if they don't toast their buns, they suck too.

Steak n shake does toast their buns, which is how it's supposed to be.

About the sticks comment... Theres a place around here that uses jack cheese (i think) and man does it blow every other cheese stick out of the water. I'd gorge myself on them if not for obvious health reasons.

Tell her you will take her to Fridays if she will take you to Morton's or Ruth Chris since you don't like the low-end food at Fridays. ZING!

Your selection of mozzarella sticks must be limited... :D

I wouldn't exactly say all chain restaurant food is horrible, but it's definitely not critically acclaimed high quality or one of my first choices for a meal. As for the chains surviving because people eat at them, look at the choices people make on a daily basis. Appealing to the masses (common fallacy) doesn't prove anything, besides the fact that the masses are prone to make poor decisions. Saying the food is horrible is an implied opinion, failing to understand that and using fallacies makes you look stupid. ;)

OP, what exactly does this girl qualify as "high class" food?

Was this a first date?

Maybe that was just her way of blowing you off....I've said a lot worse to let a chick know I'm not interested...like...

"Look at me, look at you...look at me, look at you....do I really need to answer?"

:D

Not high class but I don't think its low class. I would think its average.

It has decent food. It's a casual sit down restaurant. I am assuming that you were casually inviting her somewhere and she totally rejected it as if she has never eaten mcdonalds. She is probably the type who would be like offended if he invited her to a fancy place. Aren't you glad she said no now? You weren't dating this girl were you? I work at a good local restaurant, but if it was just a casualy invitiation, then wtf is her problem?

Most places make them round. Friday's makes them flat. Much better ratio of breading to cheese.

None of the chains make em round or flat. They all use frozen products.

The sense of entitlement that line gives, given how I interpreted it, is a huge flag. She sound's like a stuck up money pit. You can blow away thousands a year on "high class" food such as Friday's. Not exactly healthy either.
