OP, you plagiarized my life. I want royalties.

You'll have to wait a few years until I finish law school to actually make decent money off that....

But since you are so experienced with my life, your best advice would be much appreciated.

Also an update:
I just got back from her dad's place. It was nearly miserable, but I made it without making any quick decisions. I won't have to see her for a week, so I'll just take this time to cool off and re-evaluate when we get back to school.

You should just date yourself. It's pretty clear that you are quite taken with yourself.

Pretty productive....

Do you think I should actually tell her that when I end it?

Dear (insert girl's name),

Obviously neither you, nor any other woman on this earth is capable of satisfying me entirely. I have however found a perfect match in myself. Goodbye.

Sincerely,
Metalloid..... and Metalloid

Hopefully the state of Michigan soon passes pro-gay marriage, and in addition, pro-self marriage laws. Any idea what my tax refunds would be like for that situation? Do I have to buy myself a ring? Do I have to sleep on the couch when I'm feeling self-conflicted?

Here is a good principle that I have learned from current and previous relationships:
If you don't have anything nice to say..... don't say anything at all.

1. Break up with her as nicely as possible
2. Know that she will be very upset even though you're already over it - expect it and don't let it mess you up
3. Expect to possibly see her around still because she's now friends with your friends. This doesn't have to be the end of the world; just treat her like any other girl hanging around.

Yeah, she must be a sweetie.

I don't totally understand this comment. Are you saying that because I haven't posted pics, she must obviously be ugly?

Maybe I don't feel totally comfortable posting pics of a girl I'm very close to breaking up with. The internet is a well surfed place, and I'd rather not end up looking like a jackass when someone she knows happens to find them. It just seems like a trashy move.

You should let her know these things when you break up. It sounds like she has some serious social anxiety issues and needs help. Best thing to do is to enable her to meet friends of her own.

I was saying she's a nice girl from what you have described. There was no hidden sarcasm.

Oh, and now we know that you have pics...expect more requests.

Yea I've tried working with that for the last few months. She is pretty much reluctant to do ANYTHING on her own, even things that she is totally comfortable doing with someone else such as going to the gym. She had absolutely nothing to do this summer, and was reluctant to go golfing on her own, simply because she felt uncomfortable. I just don't see that as a situation to be nervous about, but she obviously did.

I told her about all of these things the first time we broke up, and actually even a few months before that. She honestly insists that she is trying to fix her problems, but I just don't see any results (or effort for that matter).

Let her down easy. No offense intended, but you seem to be a bit too into yourself. I'll take her off your hands <---no I'm just kidding. SmoochyTX, you have to tease this guy this way otherwise it will totally go over his head. 🙂

I felt the same way you do in a current relationship I had. I didn't respect her opinion, and I now realize what a d-bag I was. But I also realize that us breaking up was the absolute best thing to happen, we were killing each other, neither one of us knew how to end the relationship, but neither of us cared about it. If you think you're wrong for eachother, you probably are. Just end it and move on before you drag it out to long and end up doing something stupid, like telling the girl you've had a crush on for 3 years that you love her out of the blue, cause your relationship wont last long after that.

See, when I read your jokes I'm thinking with my head.

When SmoochyTX is teasing me.......

Sounds like you made the right decision to break up w. her the first time. It's ok to break up. Not every relationship can work out and it sounds like this one isn't for you anymore.
