YAGT: Should I buy her flowers?

So I had been hanging out with this girl a lot lately, and we'd just stay up talking till 7am on her couch. One night we had some drinks and we ended up kissing, and the whole 9 yards. The catch is that shes moving, so we're just having a good time until then.

So we have little hangouts planned all week, and one night were going to go out and get fondue in a nice classy part of town. Shes told me in the past how her "ideal date" would be at a fondue place, and now we're doing it. Should I bring her flowers when I pick her up? Or is that too serious for something thats not headed in a serious direction? Shes been single for a few months (much like myself) and I feel kind of romantic again, I'm thinkin anyone would be happy for some flowers 🙂

Also if I do go the flower route, what should I get? Roses seem a bit to serious - whats a little more fun and casual?

Yeah I don't see why flowers would be too much. You both know what type of relationship it is. I think the flowers would just be a nice "friendly" gesture.

edit: Just get whatever she likes. If you don't know, then stick with roses.

Just stop at the local grocery store and pick up a $5 bundle of mixed flowers with bright colors like yellow and purple

Get a rose. Any of the following colors:
Red (Passion) <-- if you want to make a statement
Pink (Medium Love) <-- my best guess for you
White (Purity) <-- goes with anything she might be wearing

If you're just sport fvcking (or more importantly, if she see the relationship as such), flowers will ruin it.

I think flowers would be good. I would just go with a single rose.
No, you don't go with a rose.

😕

May want to explain that to all of the girls I have ever dated who liked roses.
Read the OP. The girl is moving away and they are already banging. He's not trying to date her, so why get all sappy?

Go with some assortment of flowers, but not a rose.

My last girl hated roses because they're so common. Her favorite flowers were Tulips, Dafodils (sp? 😕 ) and Sunflowers.

Don't get fondue restaurants confused with fondue sets/parties. Fondue parties and giving people fondue sets is outdated. But fondue restaurants are in these days. There is a really good restaurant with great fondue about an hour south of where I live, in a town called new glarus. Madisonians should check it out. The place is called glarner stube and has great swiss/german food in general.

Flowers are nice, and I am sure she would appreciate it, and it would make her smile. Roses mean romance, if it is just casual, friendly, nice, you are having a good time, go with a mixed bouquet.

Went to a place called The Melting Pot. A fondue place, last August, with my best friend. The whole experience was great. I highly recommend it. It was a bit expensive, but, well worth it. 🙂

i wouldn't go that far, in this case, i wouldn't waste a dime unless she's putting out.
i don't get the mentality of some of you guys, just because you do all that stuff, would you magically have a long term relationship? why would she commit when you're already doing all that stuff?

Why not just show up in your underwear and not shower for a few days too?

You don't do it hoping for a better lay or a long term relationship. You do it as a gesture to make the other person feel good and to make the evening more fun for both parties.

The thought of just being a nice guy -- without trying to get something out of it -- never occured to you?
