I would say yes: pretty and you have something which is very fun in common (dancing). But, as her dance instructor, I'll have to say NO. There are too many problems as it is with dance instructors scamming students for money by pretending to be boyfriends/girlfriends. Sure, that normally happens with elderly students. However, it just is a bad idea to start with for anyone (potentially illegal, and certainly unethical). Stop being her instructor first. Then ask her out.

That said, I know of a dance instructor that married a semi-student (she taught him a few lessons, but he really was another instructors student). They seem to be quite happy.

I can do hip-hop, cha-cha, foxtrot and many other ballroom dancing styles, but my bread and butter is still Lindy Hop.
