my first YAGT.

She lives across the hall. We live in a apartment. We are the same age.

The only time i see her is when one of us has people over, usualy on the weekends, and the other joins or when we need some eggs or sugar. I'm thinking she might like me alittle but i could be wrong. I have been here for 5 months now and from when i have put together her last boyfiend was like 2 year ago.

So what do ya think?

UPDATE

I ended up asking her out that next day. We went out this saturday, to dinner and a movie at my place. Stayed up past the movie and talked til about 4am. Everything went great, second date comming up.

Well considering you're single, what do you have to lose bobcpg?

Good Luck bobcpg

To paraphrase Scrubs, go to the hospital and get an addapairtome operation and then, when you have the stones, just ask her out. Really, she's not your roomie or anything where it could be awkward if she says no, go for it.

and yea, go ahead and ask her out, it shouldn't be a problem, just don't be late, cause you wouldn't have a good excuse, considering that she lives across the hall from you.:D good luck~!

Sounds like a premise for a sitcom.

the question is, why wouldnt you?

afraid of hearing no?

maybe its just because I work in sales, maybe its because I have big ol hairy ones, maybe I just dont have any shame, but I am never afraid to go after what I want.

Just do it.

Ask her. You might want to play "bored" and then go to her apartment, and ask her if she'd like to go out to a movie or something. Ask on a friday night or something when both of you are at home.

I really don't participate in these threads often, not least of all because I could probably be the average OTers dad.

Why I did was because when dinosaurs walked the earth, I was in just this situation. I didn't ask, and I regretted it a long time after.

Common male mistake #1...

Projecting potential problems in advance, or if you will, using prospective hindsight. In other words, you start thinking, "well, what is this happens, won't that suck?", "what if this doesn't go anywhere and I want it to?", "What if I really like her and..." Well, you can go on this way forever and you never DO anything about it.

My advice. Don't think too much.

If it works, that's great!
If not, well, she isn't going to hate you. Both of you have enough going on in your lives to move on. You get to be young once, and the sooner you learn not to take things too seriously (mostly yourself), the better you will enjoy the opposite sex, and yourself for that matter.

Why not? Unless either of you are psychotic stalker types or something, the worst that can happen is that there's no chemistry between you two and you end up being good friends. If you don't do it, you'll regret the missed opportunity.

Why does it have to be an official 'asking out'? Why not ask her out to lunch of over for dinner, and test the water a bit.
