Not really a YAGT because I am married, but I have come up with the theory that every relationship is doomed from the start unless you are looking for mindless unconditional love.
A person becomes attracted to another person because they find that person interesting (let's ignore sexual attraction). A relationship develops, and those two people become more and more like each other. Then what is there that is interesting about the other person? Those interesting traits are gone because the two people have become very much like each other.
