BD2003 is absolutely spot on. I used to date this exact kind of girl. And she had that same fake smile and look in her eyes that made you just know something was dead wrong about her. I got taken for a ride, and let me tell you it's not something I would ever want to do again. Granted it was a valuable learning experience, it was a painful one. Dont stop him. Tell him he's being an idiot (like we all unanimously are). But don't stop him.

I remember when I was a young, bright eyed, 9 year old, adorable little child, I was told in school not to stick a fork in the electrical outlet. I was told what was going to happen. I was told, that I would be shocked, my hair would stand on its end, and I would subsequently cry. I hadnt even thought of doing such a thing up until I was given the idea.

But the outlet was calling me. I could hear it at night. "Stick a fork in me, you know you want to. Come on...I'm harmless. Its just a fork...you plug things in me all the time! Why not?"

If I hadnt stuck the fork in that socket on that day, I would always wonder what the big deal was. There would always be that thought in the back of my head about what it would have been like. I probably wouldnt do it, but I'd always wonder.

So let him do it. He needs it. I can't say I won't feel the slightest tremor of schadenfrohe in my soul when he gets his very own "Fisher Price My First STD", but my heart will genuinely ache that slight bit for his broken, shattered, mangled heart (and nuts, most likely with this girl) when it does eventually happen.
