so i'm in the looks for a new driver. I am looking at the NIKE NDS as of right now because I tested it out at the driving range and was wailing on it. However I can't find it cheaper than $200 and I really don't want to spend $200 on it right now (i'm left handed so finding them on ebay is slimmer to none).

however i am looking for recommendations. my swing speed is between 90-95mph so I was going to go with a regular flex shaft. I also do not want to spend too much $$$ on a new driver. the size of the club head that I have hit and enjoyed the most is about 400cc. I tried the 460cc and that thing was just LARGE.

I was definitely looking at a graphite shaft club. so can any golfers recommend me a new driver to try out at the range?

any more info on it? i just don't know much about what is a good or bad brand golf club aside from the popular names. i go into sports authority and see a bunch of stuff that could be crap because it seems like they have a bunch of those clubs and i've never heard of the brands.

thats why i'm trying to get some information on this. thanks though, i will check that out :)

There are lots and lots of nice drivers out there. Cleveland, MacGregor, Taylor, Mizuno, Ping etc etc... hard to go wrong with any of them. I was able to pick out one that suits me just from feel and look in the store.

hmm. i'm still using my Taylor Made FireSole from a few seasons back - it was given to me believe it or not.

i'd love to try one of the new Callaway's though. post back when you end up purchasing, i'm curious to see what you go with.

Go Here for all your golf needs, great forum, knowledgeable people and there is even a swap shop for used clubs so you can get it for less. They also have sponsors that could propbably save you a few bucks if you wanted something OEM and new.

they're 1-2 seasons old - were $400+ new, but you can get a 580 for ~$110 and a 580XD for ~$130 on ebay.

See if there's a major golf store near you, like Golfsmith.. Leave your credit cards, checkbook and ATM card at home. ;) Pick a few up and see what you like... you'll probably eliminate a few immediately just because they look or feel wrong. Then a few more because they cost big bucks.

If you want to save money, you'll have to either move away from a top tier brand or for a used club like this.

yea i'd definitely be willing to get some used clubs, they are much cheaper typically.

You can get a TM 580xd for around $180 NEW on ebay.. (They were rated the best driver before the R7 came out)
You can get a used one for around $150, I think
