YAGT: Need advice

I was offered a slightly used (200 rounds put through) Para Ordnance P14-40 for $325 from a friend. Now, I know that's a good price, and it is in a caliber that I like, but I know nothing about Para, and there is nothing on the 'net about the P14-40. Any reviews/stories would be greatly appreciated. Should I drop the cash for it?

That seems like a good enough price. That's a 1911 chambered in 40 caliber, right?

The only thing I'd be worried about is the price of replacement magazines. I know when their double stack 1911 came out, replacement magazines were kind of pricey.

I've never shot one before. You'd be well advised to shoot one before you buy it just to make sure you like the gun.
