There's a lot of things wrong w/ the OP.
First, he mentions they're in High School. That's wrong #1.
Wrong #2 is mentioning that they're racing.
Wrong #3 is that newparadigm forgot that we don't give a crap about naive high school students who had cars bought from their parents, and thought we can help him w/ his friend's "relationship problems."
Come back 5-10 yrs from now, and post a real YAGT.

Tell little Timmy to watch the smallville episode "velocity" so that he can understand why street racing is wrong, and can only lead to him getting killed or owing money to some jerk that might break his knees.
As for Mary, she isn't going to want to talk to you or little Timmy ever again, so both of you should keep a respectful distance.
